PostSubject: Gundam Battle Operation   Mon Aug 20, 2012 10:39 pm

I've been getting back into Gundam big lately, I can partially attribute it to this fantastic free-to-play game on the Japanese Playstation store.

really the best way to describe it is by showing it.

Now, it is a free-to-play game so there is a little gimmick to it. You have what they call Energy Units in this, it basically dictates how many battles you can participate in. When the battle is completed, the Energy Unit is consumed (If D/C'd you keep the Energy Unit). At the start (If my theory reigns correct) you get 3 energy units, so you can partake in 3 games.

Each match lasts about 10 minutes, so you can get a solid half hour in. Now, each Energy Unit recharges within 2 hours. Say you play your half hour straight of the game, 2 and a half hours later, you'll be able to play another 30 minutes.

From what I've seen on an unlock list, it LOOKS like you gain a stored Energy Unit per every rank up; meaning you get one more game you can play permanently. (3->4, 4->5, etc.) This takes longer than you'd think, as each rank has 10 levels to them . lol (I'm a Recruit Level 10)

Yes, the menus are in Japanese but if you don't mind going through some trial and error and making a Japanese PSN to get it, it's a great game to play.
